Steve Dolder joined in mid 1983 before Conti joined in late 1984 Prefab Sprout are broadly equal to the singer and songwriter Paddy McAloon from Witton Gilbert, County Durham. With the 80er releases as Swoon, Steve McQueen and From Langley Park To Memphis Prefab Sprout has long distinguished itself as a stylish provider of elegant, British pop music. In the 90's success was followed up with LPs like Jordan: The Comeback and Andromeda Heights. Prefab Sprout are an English pop group, formed in the late 70's and still releasing music today, more or less - some thirty years later. The core members are brothers Paddy and Martin McAloon, with Paddy being the frontman and songwriter, and Martin playing bass (and giving Paddy the occasional shove in the right direction.)
