Silent Dharna by Karnataka Bishops in Bangalore (Protest by 19 bishops in bangalore)

Archbishop Bernard Moras lead 18 bishops in a silent Dharna at St. Mark's Cathedral premises Friday to protest attacks on churches in the state. The sit-in is a symbolic protest which lasted for half-an-hour from 11 am at St. Mark's Cathedral campus off the Mahatma Gandhi Road in the heart of the city. Later deligation of 18 Bishops met Home Minister R. Ashok at Chief Minister's office and submitted a memorandum demanding withdrawal of cases filed against innocent Christian youth and women and adequate and just compensation must be done to the individuals and institutions that were attacked. Archbishop Bernard Moras also demanded CBI enquiry on church attacks as Christian community has rejected BK Somashekar commission report terming this is one-sided, totally unjust and biased report.
